The inaugural KHSAA indoor state track and field meets took place over the weekend at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville.
Like outdoor track and field, the state is broken up into three classes: A, AA and AAA. The indoor meets have been going on for years, but this was the first year it was sanctioned by the KHSAA.
Several programs from Boone, Campbell and Kenton County participated, Covington Catholic taking home the Class AA boys title while Beechwood finished runner-up in Class A in both the boys and girls meet. Bishop Brossart’s boys finished third in the Class A meet.
