The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) has welcomed two new staff members who will support Chamber programs focused on developing the region’s future leaders, strengthening business advocacy and supporting workforce initiatives.
Lori Dennler joins the Leadership Department as Regional Youth Leadership (RYL) Program Coordinator, bringing more than three decades of experience in education to the role. Collin Jarrell, who joined the Chamber as an intern earlier this year, has been named Program Assistant and will support the Chamber’s business advocacy and workforce efforts.
“Lori and Collin each bring a unique set of experiences and perspectives that will strengthen our team and the work we do for the region,” said Gene Kirchner, Sr. Vice President & COO for the NKY Chamber. “Lori’s background in education and commitment to developing young people make her a natural fit to lead Regional Youth Leadership, while Collin’s experience with the Chamber and interest in public service will be valuable as we continue advancing our advocacy and workforce efforts.”
Dennler is a retired educator and National Board Certified teacher who taught Spanish at Dixie Heights High School. She served as chair of the World Language Department, organized and chaperoned international student trips, facilitated bilingual events and cultural activities, and taught AP Spanish for decades.
As RYL Program Coordinator, Dennler will manage all aspects of the program, including planning, budgeting, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and communications. Her work will ensure the program continues to provide meaningful opportunities for students while delivering value to participating schools and community partners.
“As an educator, my goal has always been to open students’ minds and help them take what they learn and apply it outside the classroom,” said Dennler. “With this role, I’ll be able to continue working with high school students in the region and help them strengthen their awareness of all the incredible opportunities available to them. I’m excited to step into this new chapter and get to work.”
Talent remains a key priority for NKY Chamber members, and the organization’s advocacy and talent strategy efforts are closely connected in addressing the region’s workforce needs. As Program Assistant, Jarrell will support the day-to-day work behind these efforts, including committee meeting preparation, participant and sponsor coordination, and the planning and execution of Chamber events and programs.
Jarrell is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public administration. His previous experience includes internships with the Kentucky State Senate, Kentucky House of Representatives and the Bracken County Judge/Executive’s Office.
“I am excited to work with Tami Wilson and Nancy Spivey to advance the NKY Chamber’s advocacy and workforce efforts,” said Jarrell. “During my time as an intern, I learned so much about the work that goes into making Northern Kentucky a better place to live, work and do business. I’m ready to help advocate for meaningful change, support businesses of all sizes, and bring people together to move our region forward.”
