New free platform connects residents with local HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lawn care, and other home service businesses — with no fees charged to customers
NORTHERN KENTUCKY — July 28, 2026 — NKY Connect LLC officially launched yesterday, offering Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati residents a new way to find and compare local home service providers. The platform allows homeowners to quickly connect with businesses for services like HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, lawn care, and more — all at no cost to the customer.
The idea for NKY Connect came from a simple but common frustration: when something breaks at home, most people either turn to a national search platform, ask around on social media, or run a Google search and hope for the best. Co-founders Chandler Farmer and Luke Williams saw an opportunity to build something better — a directory built specifically for the local community, connecting neighbors with businesses already working in their own backyard.
Unlike national directories such as Angi, which often charge participating businesses high fees, NKY Connect focuses on affordability and local relevance. The platform is free for customers to use, and its pricing model is designed to be more accessible for the small and mid-sized businesses that make up much of the local home services market.
“A lot of local businesses are tired of paying so much just to show up on these national platforms,” said Chandler Farmer, co-founder of NKY Connect. “We wanted to give them a better option. This is just the start — we’re actively looking for feedback so we can keep improving the platform for both consumers and businesses.”
NKY Connect launches with 12 local businesses already on the platform, spanning categories including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lawn care, with more providers joining in the weeks ahead. The company plans to continue expanding both its service categories and its provider network throughout the region.
