Overnight roadblocks are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, along I-275 West in Boone County as maintenance crews install new overhead utility wires.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews will install overhead utility wires near mile marker 4.9, just west of Petersburg Road, also known as KY 20.
Several rolling roadblocks, each lasting about 15 minutes, are scheduled between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. During the roadblocks, traffic on affected portions of I-275 West will be slowed to allow crews to safely complete the work.
KYTC is also warning drivers of possible temporary delays on several nearby ramps while the rolling roadblocks are in effect:
- North Bend Road (KY 237) on-ramp to I-275 East
- Terminal Drive (KY 212) on-ramp to I-275 West
- Mineola Pike (KY 3076) on-ramp to I-275 West
Local law enforcement officers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes or avoid the area during the scheduled work.
The work is expected to be completed by 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.
