Life Learning Center (LLC) is pleased to welcome Archie Brown to its Board of Directors. Brown is President and Chief Executive Officer of First Financial Bancorp and First Financial Bank. A banking executive with more than 40 years of leadership experience, he has guided organizations through strategic growth, mergers and acquisitions, and operational transformation.
“LLC, much like First Financial Bank, is committed to helping elevate our communities and providing individuals with the resources they need to thrive,” said Brown. “LLC helps some of our most vulnerable neighbors develop the skills they need to be successful in their careers and in their lives.”
Brown said joining the board was a natural fit with his longstanding commitment to community service. “I have always gravitated to roles and causes that are aligned to my personal beliefs and values. I feel we have a shared responsibility to create a community that is supportive of everyone, helping us all reach our greatest potential. LLC plays a vital role in our community by providing much-needed resources to some of our most at-risk neighbors, and I’m proud to lend a hand in fulfilling its mission.”
Drawing on decades of executive leadership, Brown looks forward to helping the organization expand its reach and impact. “Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to lead successful teams, transform organizations, and deliver positive outcomes for businesses and consumers. I will work with my fellow board members, LLC staff, and community partners to build on the organization’s success so more of our neighbors are aware of, and have access to, these life-changing services.”
Looking ahead, Brown sees tremendous opportunity for LLC to continue strengthening the community. “A truly great community is one that supports all of its members. With the support of our community, staff, and Board of Directors, LLC can help more people gain the education, life skills, and training they need to build fulfilling, sustainable lives while experiencing the hope and dignity everyone deserves.”
The mission of LLC is to deliver an innovative, holistic, integrated continuum of education and care to assist individuals in overcoming challenges and barriers, allowing them to step up to their highest potential. By helping people learn, secure, and sustain a better way of living through gainful employment, LLC builds a caring and serving community. Since 2005, LLC has equipped hundreds of vulnerable and economically disadvantaged individuals with the necessary tools and resources to envision, achieve, and sustain a better future for themselves and their families. LLC transformational skills program, Foundations for a Better Life, focuses on addressing five domains of life: Physical, Financial, Spiritual, Emotional, and Relational. Through life skills training, career readiness programming and placement, and support resources, LLC empowers individuals to transform the trajectory of their lives. The impact of this program on the community is far-reaching. In 2025 alone, LLC put over $15M back into the local economy and saw a recidivism rate of 3.82%, which is a stark contrast against the national average of 83%.
