COVINGTON, KY Life Learning Center’s (LLC) largest fundraiser of the year, the Light the Way Gala, is right around the corner. On Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at MegaCorp Pavilion, join us as we toast Jeanne Schroer while we raise money to help adults stuck in a cycle of poverty, unemployment and hopelessness reach their full potential.
LLC is pleased to announce our friend Jeanne Schroer, President & CEO of The Catalytic Fund, as this year’s honoree. Jeanne helped anchor the Center in its remarkable Covington facility more than a decade ago, and the lasting impact of her real estate expertise can be seen throughout Northern Kentucky today.
Jeanne’s vision and commitment to strengthening communities embody the spirit of this year’s Light the Way event. By helping create places where individuals, families, and organizations can thrive, she has helped lay the foundation for opportunity, stability, and hope. Those same values are at the heart of the Center’s mission to help people reenter society, rebuild their lives, and reach their full potential. We are proud to recognize Jeanne for lighting the way for stronger communities and brighter futures.
This year’s Gala will feature an invitation-only VIP reception, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as well as dinner and entertainment in one of the region’s most unique and exciting venues. Your support will help us “Light the Way” to a better future for our graduates and our community. The mission of LLC is to deliver an innovative, holistic, integrated continuum of education and care to assist individuals in overcoming challenges and barriers, allowing them to step up to their highest potential. By helping people learn, secure, and sustain a better way of living through gainful employment, LLC builds a caring and serving community. Since 2005, LLC has equipped hundreds of vulnerable and economically disadvantaged individuals with the necessary tools and resources to envision, achieve, and sustain a better future for themselves and their families. LLC transformational skills program, Foundations for a Better Life, focuses on addressing five domains of life: Physical, Financial, Spiritual, Emotional, and Relational. Through life skills training, career readiness programming and placement, and support resources, LLC empowers individuals to transform the trajectory of their lives. The impact of this program on the community is far-reaching. In 2025 alone, LLC put over $15M back into the local economy and saw a recidivism rate of 3.82%, which is a stark contrast against the national average of 83%.
