Northern Kentucky-based firm founded by Laura Berkemeier and Jay Gossett will provide strategic direction, fundraising support, and organizational growth services
NORTHERN KENTUCKY — June 2, 2026 — A new business has been established with the goal of helping mission-driven organizations raise more, work better and grow stronger. Founded by Northern Kentucky native Laura Berkemeier and her husband, Jay Gossett, Be Growth Impact provides strategic direction to help organizations expand their community impact.
Be Growth Impact brings together two passionate founders with decades of experience across nonprofit leadership, corporate communications, experiential marketing, fundraising, education, arts administration, logistics and event strategy. While the company’s primary audience will be nonprofits, Be Growth Impact will support any organization seeking to grow with greater intention, clarity and impact. Its core services will focus on annual fundraising strategy, including grant writing, donor engagement, event planning and execution, and strategies to inspire generosity, deepen engagement and move important work forward. Additional services will extend that same strategic approach inward, with efficiency audits, organizational planning, team retreats, and board and volunteer engagement rooted in clarity, collaboration, creativity and deep respect for the people and communities served by mission-driven work.
This broader focus reflects a common reality across the nonprofit sector: organizations are often deeply effective at executing their missions, but they may not have the same capacity or systems for the essential back-end work that makes growth sustainable. To help address those gaps, Be Growth Impact will provide efficiency audits that identify opportunities to improve project management, internal communication, workflow, accountability and overall organizational output.
The company will also offer team-building experiences, including staff retreats and facilitated activities, to help organizations build healthier, more connected teams. The philosophy is simple: if the staff is not working well, the organization is not working well. By supporting both external growth and internal alignment, Be Growth Impact aims to help organizations operate with greater confidence, efficiency and cohesion.
“Be Growth Impact was created for organizations that have powerful missions and need practical, strategic support to move those missions forward,” said Laura Berkemeier, co-founder of Be Growth Impact. “We believe growth is not just about raising more money. It is about building stronger systems, telling clearer stories, engaging people with purpose and creating the conditions for lasting community impact.”
Berkemeier’s professional journey reflects the same blend of creativity, strategy and service that will shape Be Growth Impact. A lifelong Northern Kentucky native and a graduate of Thomas More University, she has contributed to the region through board and committee leadership, philanthropic initiatives and more than 20 years of involvement in theatrical production. Berkemeier’s previous professional roles include Associate Vice President, Non-Profit Services at Ignite Philanthropy, Director of Development at Life Learning Center, Experiential Marketing Specialist at VEGA Americas, Experiential Event Producer at AGAR and multiple positions with ArtsWave and Procter & Gamble. Across her career, Laura has supported major fundraising campaigns, created and managed large-scale events, developed persuasive communications and helped organizations connect more deeply with donors, volunteers and community partners. She is also the current Board Chair of Pones, a Cincinnati-based performance group, and is joining the Alumni Board at Thomas More University.
Berkemeier’s work is guided by a belief that organizations grow best when strategy, systems and people are aligned. Through Be Growth Impact, she will help organizations move beyond short-term solutions and toward more sustainable models for growth and overall team effectiveness. One example of that approach is CincySings, the regional arts-based employee engagement event Berkemeier founded and managed after developing the original P&G Sing Off concept while serving on Procter & Gamble’s ArtsWave campaign lead team. By translating theatre methodology into workplace engagement, Berkemeier helped create a scalable model that recruited companies across the region, generated new fundraising revenue and demonstrated how creativity can strengthen internal teams, culture and community impact.
Jay Gossett brings complementary experience and perspective to the venture, helping shape a company designed to meet organizations where they are and support them through periods of growth, transition and opportunity. His background includes experience in the culinary sector, event execution, theatrical stage management, production planning and logistics, as well as service in the U.S. Army, giving him a practical, detail-oriented approach to moving complex work from idea to execution. Within Be Growth Impact, Berkemeier will serve as strategy lead while Gossett will focus on implementation, a partnership that builds on their complementary skillsets and has already been proven through multiple theatre collaborations in which Berkemeier served as director and Gossett served as stage manager. Together, they intend for Be Growth Impact to serve as a trusted partner for leaders who are ready to align vision with execution and turn ambitious ideas into measurable progress.
“Our goal is to help good people doing important work build the tools, confidence and strategy they need to grow,” Berkemeier said. “When organizations are supported well, they can focus more fully on the people they serve. That is the impact we want to help create.”
