Louisville, KY (July 6, 2026) – Summer is one of the best times of the year to visit a Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Certified Farm Market. Open this summer in Boone County is McGlasson Farms. With fresh summer favorites, like tomatoes, squash and berries now ready for harvest, this market gives families an easy way to support Kentucky agriculture close to home. Other Boone County markets in the KFB Certified Farm Market Program are Eagle Bend Alpacas/Eagle Bend’s Yarn & Fiber Shop and Kinman Farm Market.
Whether you are picking up fresh sweet corn for dinner, taking the kids out for some farm fun or simply looking for Kentucky-grown products, buying local at Certified Farm Markets allows the Boone County community to enjoy fresh-from-the-field produce while directly supporting its local farm families. McGlasson Farms, located at 5832 River Road in Hebron, offers u-pick strawberries, blackberries and blueberries in early summer, followed by sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, peppers, peaches and more through the season, and u-pick apples, pumpkins, fresh cider and fall decorations in autumn.
