FLORENCE, Ky. (June 23, 2026) – Easterseals Redwood announced today that its Florence campus has officially earned a prestigious five-star rating through Kentucky All STARS, the commonwealth’s expanded five-star Quality Rating and Improvement System for early care and education programs.
Kentucky All STARS evaluates and recognizes the quality of childcare centers, Head Start programs, and public preschools, helping families find high-quality learning environments. A five-star rating is the highest achievable level of excellence awarded, signaling that Easterseals Redwood’s Florence campus goes significantly above and beyond basic state licensing requirements.
With this new milestone, the Florence campus joins the organization’s Fort Mitchell location, which achieved its own five-star designation in 2023. Together, these ratings emphasize Easterseals Redwood’s regional commitment to providing unparalleled inclusive care to children and families.
“I am excited and incredibly proud that our Florence campus has officially earned a five-star rating through Kentucky All STARS in its very first survey,” said Pam Green, president and CEO of Easterseals Redwood. “This achievement reflects the incredible dedication, passion, and hard work of our entire Florence team, led by Katrina Proud, our director of children’s services. Most importantly, it demonstrates our promise to children and families that they are receiving the highest level of care and education. We have successfully created a space where every child is valued, supported, and empowered to learn, grow, and thrive.”
Managed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood, and the Kentucky Department of Education, Kentucky All STARS recognizes early childhood centers that pursue continuous growth and provide exceptional services to improve outcomes for children and families.
Earning a five-star rating requires passing a rigorous evaluation process and signifies to families that the Florence campus meets and exceeds the highest benchmarks in the state, specifically demonstrating:
• Highly qualified and well-trained staff
• High-quality learning environments
• Individualized support for every child
• Continuous quality improvement
• Safe, healthy, and nurturing care
Easterseals Redwood expanded into its Florence location in 2023 and offers early childhood education; Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (medical childcare); programming for adults with disabilities; plus, physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
The five-star rating further validates Easterseals Redwood’s organizational mission to empower children and adults with disabilities to live full and meaningful lives.
