Commonwealth Comedy Club Presents SMOKE AND QUEERS: A One-Night Celebration of Queer Performance, Comedy, and Burlesque
DAYTON, KY (April 2026) — Commonwealth Comedy Club will host SMOKE AND QUEERS presented by Commonwealth Comedy Club on Thursday, April 30 at 8:00 PM. The 18+ event blends stand-up comedy, burlesque, drag, and performance art into a dynamic, genre-bending showcase.
Founded in 2019, Smoke & Queers Burlesque and Drag Troupe is Cincinnati’s only queer burlesque and drag troupe, known for bold, expressive performances that celebrate identity, sexuality, and community. The troupe has performed at venues including the Weston Art Gallery and the Woodward Theatre, as well as major regional events like Cincinnati Pride.
The show explores the evolution of queer identity, past, present, and future, through a variety of performance styles. Featuring burlesque, drag, and multimedia elements, the production reflects the complexity and fluidity of self-expression over time.
The evening also features stand-up comedy from Karinne Turnbow and Mike Franke, adding a sharp comedic edge to the immersive performance experience.
Smoke & Queers performers include Rebel Rowdy Rose, Noah Dia, Juliette Valentine, Scooter Ripstick, Mac Malcom, Moon Lyte, and Dolly Partner, each bringing a distinct voice and performance style to the stage.
Tickets are $12 and available now. Due to the intimate nature of the venue, advance purchase is recommended.
