KENTON COUNTY PVA CONTRACTS FOR 2026 FLYOVER
KENTON COUNTY, Ky. — Darlene Plummer, Kenton County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA), announces a
new contract agreement with Pictometry/Eagleview. The new contract will provide the PVA Office with advanced
“orthogonal” (top-down) and “oblique” (angled) aerial imagery, captured by low-flying, manned planes equipped
with high-resolution cameras.
By law, PVA offices are required to “physically inspect” property throughout the county at least once every four
years. These high-resolution images allow the PVA office to meet the state-mandated four-year physical
inspection requirement from the air, saving significant money on fuel, vehicles, and staffing.
“A lot can change in two years,” says Plummer. “By flying in 2026 on the heels of our 2025 flight, we can compare
current and historical data to identify new construction, additions, or demolitions. It’s about ensuring fair and
equitable assessments for all property owners.”
The data will benefit far more than just the PVA Office. The imagery will be shared with the Kenton County LINK-GIS
Consortium, supporting the work of Planning & Development Services, Northern Kentucky Water District,
Sanitation District, and Fiscal Court. The final imagery is expected to be available by early May.
