Talent Magnet Institute and Camp Joy leaders gathered to celebrate the partnership's launch.

Two longstanding Greater Cincinnati organizations, Talent Magnet Institute and Camp Joy, have launched a new leadership development program aimed at helping professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area strengthen their leadership skills through hands-on learning and real-world application.

The program, called L.E.A.D., is built around the idea that leaders grow when they are challenged, supported, and given space to reflect. By combining Talent Magnet Institute’s leadership training with Camp Joy’s interactive outdoor setting, participants will take part in a practical experience focused on connection, adaptability, and clarity.

“Today’s leaders need more than theory—they need transformation,” says TMI CEO Mike Sipple. “By combining our leadership development expertise with Camp Joy’s proven experiential approach, we’re creating opportunities for breakthroughs that simply aren’t possible in traditional settings.”

The program focuses on four areas:
• Learn: Focused instruction that can be applied directly at work
• Engage: Group problem-solving and reflection to build trust and understanding
• Activate: Practice responding to real-life leadership situations
• Discover: Time away from day-to-day routines to reset and gain perspective
Located just outside Cincinnati, Camp Joy offers a setting that encourages participants to step away from screens and distractions and focus on their role as leaders in their workplaces and communities.

“Leadership thrives in connection, challenge, and experience,” says Nate Hirt, Program Director at Camp Joy. “Through experiential team building, leaders break free from isolation, build authentic relationships, and develop the adaptability needed to navigate today’s ever-changing landscape. This isn’t just learning—it’s transformation in action.”

According to the Center for Creative Leadership, 75% of people who take part in experiential programs report long-term improvement in their leadership ability.

The goal of L.E.A.D. is to give people across Greater Cincinnati—from business, nonprofit, and civic organizations—a way to strengthen how they lead and how they work with others.
