Historic Venue and Restaurant kicks off lunch service with a weekend of special prices.
Newport, Kentucky: Mansion Hill Tavern is announcing its Grand Lunch Opening this coming November 1st
through 3rd. This marks an expansion of Mansion Hill Tavern’s culinary offering, a part of its larger mission to
revitalize a major historic landmark in northern Kentucky.
“In it’s heyday, Mansion Hill Tavern was known as a favorite lunch spot in the area” says owner Brian Conner.
“We’re keeping it real and offering the neighborhood something it doesn’t have: fresh, house-made food from
our own recipes, in an authentic environment, at prices that fit the budget. Our menu is a great combination
of tavern staples, like Burgers and Fried Chicken, along with Southern-inspired fare like our Nashville Hot
sandwich, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Fried Okra. And don’t forget our desserts.”
For the three days of the Grand Lunch Opening – November 1 through 3, from 11:00am till 3:00pm, all
Sandwiches, Salads, and Platters on the menu will be $9.00. After the opening, Mansion Hill Tavern will
continue to offer a “Sandwich and Side” lunch special every day from open till 3:00pm, where any sandwich
from the menu can be paired with a soup or salad and a soft drink for $12.
After the Grand Lunch Opening, Mansion Hill Tavern will be open every day at 11:00am, with the kitchen
service starting at 11:30am. Lunch specials will be available until 3:00pm. This is in addition to regular
Saturday and Sunday brunch from 11:00am till 3:00pm, and dinner service till 8:00pm, 10:00pm on Sundays.
Lunch service is the latest and greatest of many initiatives in the company since new ownership took over in
November 2022, including:
• Re-vamping of the music program, keeping well-loved local and regional acts, and adding national
and touring artists, and producing northern Kentucky’s premier Blues Festival.
• Doubling the size of the bartending team, under the direction of Bar Manager Kyle Volpenhein
• Modernizing the kitchen and creating a new culinary offering under the direction of Chef Mike
Cushman and Sous-chef/Pastry Chef Derrick Gary.
“Everything we do at Mansion Hill Tavern is done with intent.” Says Conner, “We’re preserving history, while
serving a community. The food, the drinks, the people, the music – these all come together into one single
unique experience that is Mansion Hill Tavern.”
