CINCINNATI, OH – March 11, 2024 – Aviatra Accelerators, the Cincinnati non-profit dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and small businesses, hosted its inaugural Galentine’s Gala last month.
Held at the Alcove by Madtree Brewing in Over-the-Rhine, the sisterhood-focused event featured activities for women to connect, be inspired and empower each other – including a fashion show, and a silent auction.
The fashion show, emceed by Cincinnati Style Report’s Taneica Oliviera, showcased local women-owned businesses, including Aseaya Boutique, Boundless Beauty, Inspired Fashion, and Peachy & Vintage.
Aviatra President & CEO, Jill Morenz, expressed the significance of the event, stating, “This gala symbolizes the strength of our collaborative community, supporting and uplifting women on their entrepreneurial journeys.”
The paddle raise, emceed by Rachel DesRochers, founder of the Gratitude Collective, garnered generous donations for scholarships that will be awarded later this year. Aviatra scholarships play a vital role in empowering women entrepreneurs, as emphasized by alumni speakers Lisa Woodruff, founder of Organize 365, and Jessica Wright, owner of Wright Workforce Solutions, during the Galentine’s Gala. Their testimonials underscore the significance of these scholarships in propelling and launching successful female-owned businesses, illustrating the tangible impact of Aviatra’s support in enriching the entrepreneurial community.
