Family-friendly Halloween scares came to the Independence branch of the Kenton County Public Library last weekend with more than 1,000 people attending this year’s iteration of the Kenton County Haunted Library.
The 20th anniversary of this family-friendly event invited local families to investigate mysteries of a long-abandoned candy factory in Smoat, Vt., in what the library had dubbed “The Confectionery Catastrophe.”
“For 20 years, Haunted Library has brought creativity, imagination and more than a few good scares to our community,” said Denise Fritsch, executive director of Kenton County Public Library. “We’re excited to celebrate this Halloween tradition and the staff who bring it to life.”
The event took place last Friday and Saturday.
