ArtWorks, in partnership with The Carnegie, is actively seeking four artists ages 16-21, with a diverse skill set or a keen interest spanning multiple media types and a strong commitment to collaborative learning and community engagement to work alongside artist duo Batres Gilvin.

The primary goal of this initiative is to create a new public art installation that serves as both a gathering place on the grounds of the Carnegie in Covington and for the broader community. Themed around “Bold, Play, Accessibility, and Creativity,” the project will come to life through a multimedia public art installation featuring sensory elements and communal spaces. Through the repurposing of materials from Covington, the project intricately integrates the city’s past into a contemporary context, symbolizing the fusion of Covington’s history and future. Youth artists involved in this project will play a pivotal role in fostering community connectedness and enriching cultural expression through their creative contributions.
