I find it interesting that Republicans are attempting to take advantage of the violence in Cincinnati and making it political. But they make no mention of the proliferation of guns in society that they have promulgated.
Let’s at least start by reporting all of the facts: the Mayor & City Council wanted to ban guns from Cincinnati city limits but the Republican controlled “state legislature” wouldn’t allow them to implement a city-wide ban. Most of the time the Republicans assert that the cities should act with autonomy. Wouldn’t this have been another way to control some of the violence that occurs downtown on a nightly basis?
