A 17-year old is wanted by Covington Police after three children were shot in the city on Monday night.
Police say Taquan Estes is armed and dangerous.
Police have also charged a 41-year old man in the shooting.
Officers were called to the 200 block of West 17th Street at around 6:45 p.m. Monday and located gunshot victims on Russell Street.
The shooting occurred while more than a dozen juveniles were caught up in a fight, Covington Police Chief Rob Nader said in a Tuesday morning news conference.
A 14-year old girl is at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
An 11-year old boy who received non-life-threatening injuries is expected to be released from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
A 7-year old boy who also suffered non-life-threatening injuries has been released from Cincinnati Children’s.
Meanwhile, Thomas Brown, 41, remains at UC Medical Center in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Police charged Brown on Tuesday with three counts of first degree assault, one count of first degree riot, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Later Tuesday night, Covington Police said that Brown was taken into custody by Cincinnati Police and is being held at the Hamilton County Detention Center.
They continue to search for Taquan Estes, 17, who is charged with four counts of first degree assault, one count of first degree riot, and possession of a handgun by a minor.
Estes is also wanted in another case, police said, and has an active warrant on a first degree wanton endangerment charge.
Police said that Estes should be considered armed and dangerous and to use caution when approaching.
