Covington residents can now use an online portal to request one free voucher a month to drop off materials at the Covington Transfer Station on Boron Drive. Redeeming a voucher allows residents to drop off waste materials not allowed in normal waste pick up.
Eligible materials include:
- Bulk household items
- Furniture and mattresses Â
- Excessive household trash bags Â
- Home renovation debris Â
- Yard waste Â
- Scrap metal Â
- Up to four tires per voucher Â
Batteries, fluids, anything containing FREON, hazardous materials, anything flammable, rocks and dirt will not be accepted. Trailers used to transport items cannot exceed eight feet in length.
Request a voucher online by filling out the city’s online contact form here. If you do not have access to a computer you can request a voucher in person at the Covington Public Works Office at 1730 Russell Street.
