Gateway Community & Technical College’s annual summer festival is returning to Florence.
On Saturday, July 18, Gateway will host its annual Summer Fest at its Boone Campus in Florence, located at 500 Technology Way. The free community event is scheduled from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Summer Fest offers a range of family-friendly activities, including face painting, a balloon artist, games and a petting zoo featuring ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Moreover, local community organizations will be present, allowing attendees to learn more about Gateway’s academic programs and student resources.
“Summer Fest is a chance for families to have fun, meet neighbors, and get to know Gateway in a relaxed and welcoming environment,” said event organizer Maddi Kues in a news release “Whether you’re exploring college options or simply looking for something fun to do with the kids, we’d love to see you there.”
Regarding refreshments, free pizza, treats and giveaways will be available during the event. Additionally, the first 100 guests to stop by the Kona Ice stand will receive a free snow cone.
