Week 10 LINK nky Pick ’em

Week 10 is here!

This year at LINK nky, we decided to add some fun to our football coverage. We’re going to do a weekly picks contest with the three of the sports writers (Evan Dennison, Ray Schaefer and Josh Kalb) we have here and throw in a little twist…a guest picker each week. The guest picker will most likely be someone you recognize as a member of our community, whether it be someone who is on the sidelines with us, sports TV personalities, former coaches or players or someone who may not even be entrenched in the sports scene, but still invested in our communities to some capacity.

It was an ok week for picks in Week 9. Josh, who has led pretty much all season, went 6-4 to improve his season record to 65-25 with just two weeks remaining. Evan went 5-5 and sits at 62-28, three games back of Josh. Guest picker Tony Fields went 5-5 and the guest pickers overall record is 60-30 combined. Ray finished 6-4, improving to 53-37 and needing a miracle to gain ground to the top of the leaderboard.

This week’s guest picker: Richard Skinner

Skinny!

Skinner has been a part of Greater Cincinnti media for four decades and recently retired this past summer from WKRC, where he was the digital sports columnist and editor at Local 12.

He’s written sports for the Cincinnati/Kentucky Post and Cincinnati Enquirer, and hosted radio sports talk shows. He also is the co-host and creator of the “Skinny Podcast” with Rick Broering in which he hits on a variety of sports topics.

Congrats on retirement, Skinny.
