The free, family-friendly “Wheels Back on Monmouth” car show is happening in Newport this weekend.
The event brings together vintage vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles and supports local businesses on/off Monmouth Street between East 5th and East 10th Streets. The car show will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Vehicle registration is from 9 a.m. to Noon. Vehicles should enter at East 10th and Monmouth Streets by the city building. There is a $20 registration fee. Pre-registration is available online here.
The first 250 registered arrivals will receive complimentary dash plaques.
Monmouth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event between East 5th and East 10th streets between York and Saratoga Streets.
