Adoption fees at Kenton County Animal Services will be waived until Tuesday, Oct. 8 in celebration of the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters national adoption event. Screening fees still apply.
“This partnership couldn’t come back at a better time as our intake levels continue to increase, putting additional strain on our resources,” Animal Services Director Kelsey Maccombs said. “But we’ve learned our community steps up when we need them the most, and by reducing the financial barrier to adoption, we hope they’ll be there once again to give the animals in our care loving homes.”
Kenton County Animal Services is one of 390 shelters throughout the country participating in the event.
