Local police and fire unions are hosting a Cram the Cruiser and Truck school supply drive this Friday, Aug. 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. outside of the Kroger Marketplace on Declaration Drive in Independence.
Donations will benefit Kenton County District schools in Independence and southern Kenton County.
Schools are looking for the following supplies:
- scissors
- crayons
- #2 pencils
- washable markers
- notebooks
- loose leaf paper
- paper towels
- erasers
- pencil boxes
- blue, black and red pens
- 3-ring binders
- folders
- backpacks
- hand sanitizer
- highlighters
- glue sticks
- dry-erase markers
- dividers
- 3”x5” index cards
- tissue boxes
The event is a joint venture between The Kenton County Police Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 44 and Independence Professional Firefighters 3945.
