A Campbell County attorney has been indicted on two counts of felony theft for allegedly stealing funds from the estates of two deceased women.

Jennifer Zaccheus-Miller, 40, was indicted July 18 by a Campbell County grand jury on two counts of Class C felony theft, according to Attorney General Russell Coleman’s office which worked on the case with the Kentucky State Police. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Campbell Circuit Court on July 30.

If convicted, she could face a sentence of five to 10 years in prison for each felony offense.

Zaccheus-Miller was arrested in May in Powell County near Red River Gorge after missing a court deadline regarding $26,000 in funds missing from one estate, according to earlier news reports. At the time, police were reportedly investigating alleged ties between Zaccheus-Miller and other estates with missing funds.

All charges in the indictment against Zaccheus-Miller are allegations, and she “is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty,” the Attorney General’s office said in a statement.

Zaccheus-Miller is still allowed to practice law in Kentucky as an active member of the Kentucky Bar Association which admits attorneys into practice in the commonwealth. Her status had not changed as of July 23. She was admitted into law practice in Kentucky in May 2018.
