Barleycorn’s is collaborating on a new brew with Disabled American Veterans, also known as DAV, a national organization dedicated to empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives.
In honor of the organization, Barleycorn’s Brewmaster, Shane Trego, has created a new beer, Valiant, an American amber ale, to celebrate and support DAV’s mission.
Valiant will be released during an event on June 28, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the inaugural tapping taking place at 6:30 p.m. A portion of all sales generated from the event will be donated to DAV.
The beer will be tapped at all four Barleycorn’s locations:
- Cold Spring: 1073 Industrial Road, Cold Spring
- Florence: 8544 US-42, Florence
- Lakeside Park: 2642 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park
- Barleycorn’s Brewhouse: 402 Licking Pike, Wilder
The beer was brewed in Wilder at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse.
“Collaborating with DAV holds special significance for us,” Trego said. “Their national headquarters were formerly next to our Cold Spring location, making this partnership deeply personal. We are humbled to brew Valiant in honor of such an impactful local organization.”
Headquartered in Erlanger, DAV provides a wide range of free programs, including benefits assistance, employment assistance, transportation to and from VA medical appointments and more. Through donations and volunteer efforts, DAV supports over 1 million veterans and their families each year.
