As of Friday afternoon, the Northern Kentucky region is under a winter weather advisory.

The advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain is predicted to move into the region around 2 p.m. and should continue on and off until 4 p.m., when it is expected to turn to snow.

Snow showers are expected to continue until around 11 p.m. with a possible accumulation of less than half an inch.
