UPDATE: Another threat has occurred, this time directed at St. Henry High School at around 2 p.m., according to a statement from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. The threats resemble the others from earlier in the week–they were made from a third party through the Suicide Prevention Hotline. The sheriff’s office stated they believe the threats are part of a “nationwide social media trend.”

Bomb threats resembling the one that occurred at Boone County High School on Wednesday occurred at least two other districts in the region Thursday, Conner High School and Beechwood Schools, according to police statements.

Fort Mitchell public safety officers, as well as the bomb unit from the Cincinnati/NKY Airport, investigated the threats at Beechwood and reopened the schools around noon.

Calls informing on the threats have come from suicide prevention hotlines, who said they had learned of the threats from a caller. Suspects have not been identified and investigations are ongoing.
