Brighton Center’s Center for Employment Training is hosting two open house events for job seekers, employers, and community partners, on Thursday, March 30, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Guests will learn about the Center for Employment Training, tour the facility, meet the instructors, meet current trainees engaged in training, and enjoy light refreshments.
Center for Employment Training is located at 601 Washington Ave., Suite 140, Newport.
The three in-demand careers for which the program has created a curriculum are Medical Assisting, Health Technology Administration, and Human Resources and Payroll Specialist.
Center for Employment Training has offered career training and placement for over 25 years. The program works with local employers to ensure that Center for Employment Training graduates enters the workforce in high demand. As a result, 80% of graduates obtain employment and see an average wage gain of more than $20,000 annually. The training is debt-free to the individual pursuing their certification and has guided over 1,182 trainees to successful employment since its founding in 1997.
