The World Affairs Council, a local nonprofit that focuses on cultural exchange and global citizenship, will host its annual One World Gala fundraiser at Covington’s Dress Pavilion in April.
The celebration is in honor of the organization’s 100th anniversary and will feature a trivia competition for guests about the organization’s history, with prizes from local restaurants and businesses.
“As the loudest gala in town, the competition for the global trivia game is fierce,” said World Affairs Council Executive Director Michelle Harpenau Glandorf in a press release. “Don’t fear what you don’t know about the world, though, as the questions range from easy to hard, plus you have your whole team there to support you.”
All proceeds from the event will go to fund the organization’s student and cultural learning programs.
The One World Gala fundraiser is scheduled for April 20, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets for individuals and couples are available until April 5 at globalcincinnati.networkforgood.com.
Sponsorship packages for interested businesses are also available. Guests who are already not part of an established trivia team will be assigned one upon arrival.
