The Alexandria Police Department is holding an electronic device collection throughout January to help their police social work program.
The program aims to alleviate an added burden for the most vulnerable populations and provide them with a connection to services and support.
The phone donations help provide emergency phones to victims of abuse, senior citizens, and other vulnerable people, such as those experiencing homelessness, in need at no cost.
All phones will be factory reset by 911 Cellphone Bank. Old cell phones can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alexandria Police Department, 8236 West Main St. in Alexandria.
