Curious to know what designs are being considered for the replacement of the 4th Street Bridge?

Join Vision Zero’s open house in a couple weeks, planned to welcome the public to review and give feedback on the concepts.

Vision Zero Northern Kentucky is hosting an open house for the public to review and comment on conceptual designs for the 4th Street Bridge replacement.

The open house is scheduled for Nov. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 200 W. Pike Street in Covington, and on Nov. 17 at 935 Monmouth Street in Newport at the same time. RSVP here.

Attendees will be able to see renderings of Vision Zero’s bridge concepts at the open house, then they’ll be asked to provide feedback in the form of a survey. The results will be collected and distributed to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the cities of Covington and Newport.

All registered attendees will be entered into a drawing for a copy of Right of Way: Race, Class, and the Silent Epidemic of Pedestrian Deaths in America by Angie Schmitt.

The transportation cabinet unveiled renderings for four of the proposed bridge designs and hosted their own town hall to collect feedback from the public in April.

The Kentucky Heritage Council, KYTC and local elected officials are the ultimate decision-makers in the selection of the design.

Correction: The Nov. 17 open house will be held at 935 Monmouth Street in Newport, not Covington.
