An 11-year old child died Saturday, drowning in a pool in Villa Hills.
The Villa Hills Police Department reported that officers and the Crescent Springs-Villa Hills Fire Department were dispatched just before 7 p.m. to the 2500 block of Thirs Drive for a possible drowning.
The child had been found unresponsive in the pool.
Witnesses, police said, started to perform CPR. Police and emergency medical workers continued the effort upon arrival.
The child was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood and pronounced dead.
The child’s name is being withheld at this time, police said.
Villa Hills Police and the Kenton County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death.
