U.S. News & World Report released its annual rankings of America’s top colleges and universities. The top of the list featured familiar prestigious institutions like Princeton, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale, Stanford, and Harvard.

But the list is long and comprehensive and features institutions of higher learning from across the country.

On Tuesday, Thomas More University celebrated its higher ranking.

The Crestview Hills campus was listed as #56 among regional universities in the South, an increase of nine spots from last year.

The magazine evaluated roughly 1,500 colleges and universities on up to seventeen measures of academic quality.

“As we celebrated the first 100 years of Thomas More in 2021, we shifted our focus to the next 100 years, announcing a new Strategic Plan: Lighting the Way, a vision focused on three themes, Student Success, Academic Innovation, and Responsible Stewardship,” said Thomas More University President Joseph L. Chillo, in a statement. “This transformational plan includes elevating our reputation in the U.S. News & World Report and creating awareness of the high quality, Catholic Liberal Arts education that we offer our students at Thomas More.”

Thomas More was also ranked as #27 among “Best Value Schools”.

Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights was listed among the colleges and universities ranked between 331 and 440 in the national universities category. It was ranked between 169 and 227 among public universities. The top public school according to the rankings was University of California at Berkeley.
