Banners sporting Covington’s new economic development branding are now hanging on the fence surrounding the IRS building demolition site in Covington.

This is one of the first times that Covington’s new economic development branding has been prominently displayed in public.

City employees hung the banners at the 23-acre Central Riverfront Development site. The branding displayed at the site highlights the relationship between what the new branding symbolizes for the city’s economic development goals, and what the massive project could represent for the city when it’s completed.

The new “Unapologetically Covington” branding and marketing strategy was unveiled last month.

Covington-based Durham Brand & Co. worked with the City to develop the initiative over a period of several months with efforts that included a public survey and sessions with local businesses.
