Voter registration in Kentucky grew by over 10,000 in June, offset by more than 9,300 voters being removed from the voter rolls.

Overall, the voter rolls grew by just 670 voters, which was the largest jump since November 2022.

Removals included 7,049 deceased voters, 1,175 voters convicted of felonies, 734 who moved out of state, 306 who voluntarily deregistered, and 83 who were deemed mentally incompetent. There was also one duplicate registration.

“While over 10,000 voters registered in June, our biggest monthly number since November 2022, registration is flat for the month due to diligent work to remove ineligible voters,” said Secretary of State Michael Adams.

Of the newly registered voters, 2,020 were Republicans. Democratic registration decreased by 2,562 voters. Other registered voters increased by 1,212 voters.
