The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra’s Men in Black brass quintet will visit local high schools and libraries in late April and early May as part of the orchestra’s ongoing music education programs.

“The quintet, comprised of KSO brass players, began back in the late 1990s, adopting the appearance of the characters in the “Men in Black” film franchise (black suits, dark sun glasses),” according to a KSO press release. “They even employ a neuralizer (‘flashy-thingy’) to make audiences forget any missed notes, and to remember what they learned throughout the program.”
The quintet will visit music classes at Beechwood and Ryle High Schools on April 20 and April 21. They will also perform free concerts at local libraries in late April and early May. Information on the public library concerts is below:
- Fort Thomas branch of the Campbell County Library —April 24 at 7 p.m.
- Burlington Branch of the Boone County Library—May 1 at 7 p.m.
- Latonia Branch of the Kenton County Library—May 2 at 2 p.m.
