Bellevue held its third annual Winter Carnival and Chili Cookoff on Feb 24, despite below-freezing temperatures.
That didn’t stop community members, like Philip Lanz, from stopping by.
“I just like to be involved with the city,” Lanz said. “It brings a lot of people and makes a lot of people happy.”
Bellevue Police Officer Jon McClain was at the event, handing out popcorn.
“People always see us because we pull people over, give them tickets, take people to jail,” McClain said. “But we do a lot of community stuff too, so we like to be out there doing positive stuff.”
