What could be better than taking in the views on the Purple People Bridge as the sun sets?
Taking in the view with friends, craft beer, food trucks, and music.
The Purple People Bridge is 150 this year, and Red White and Brew is part of the celebration. The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 7 from 5-9 p.m. and is one in a series of celebrations throughout the year.
Red White and Brew will feature local breweries, including Alexandria Brewing Company, Braxton Brewing Company, Bircus Brewing Company, Dead Low Brewing and Hofbrauhaus Newport from this side of the river.
Attendance is free. In addition to beer, arts and craft vendors and food trucks will be on hand.
The next scheduled event to celebrate the bridge’s milestone birthday is The Back Roads Wine Festival, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11, featuring local wineries.
