As winter approaches, the Holiday Hope Charity Drive is set to make its impactful return for the 6th annual event, supporting the families served by the Henry Hosea House (HHH) in Newport.
Organized by Executive Transportation and Express Mobile Transportation, the drive aims to collect winter clothing and essentials for those in need. The charitable initiative is scheduled for December 2nd, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 PM at 901 Monmouth St, Newport, KY, in the Superior Prosthetics Lot across from Carabello Coffee.
The Holiday Hope Charity Drive has become a cornerstone event in the community, shedding light on the invaluable work of the Henry Hosea House. The HHH’s primary focus is to provide nutritious meals to those in need. Beyond addressing the immediate concern of hunger, the organization recognizes the deeper challenges faced by the poor and homeless – the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. To combat these, the Hosea House goes above and beyond, treating everyone who enters as if they were dining in a fine restaurant, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
Tammy Bravo, co-owner of Executive Transportation and board member at HHH, expressed her dedication to community service.
“There’s a lot of people who unfortunately are living on the street, so the sleeping bags and the gloves and the hats and the hand warmers and foot warmers are very important,” she said.
Steve Ader, President of Henry Hosea House, highlighted the significance of the collaboration with Executive Transportation.
“Our partnership with Executive Transportation is crucial in making events like the Holiday Hope Charity Drive possible. It exemplifies a shared commitment to addressing not just the immediate needs of our community but also fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit.”

The Holiday Hope Charity Drive, in collaboration with various sponsors and businesses, collects winter items such as sleeping bags, gloves, hats, hand warmers, and foot warmers. These essentials are vital for those facing the harsh realities of those experiencing homelessness during the winter season.
Following the collection, representatives will transport the items back to the Henry Hosea House, where they will be prepared for distribution as early as Monday after the drive. Bravo shared her optimism about the quick turnaround, stating, “We usually have everything distributed in 10 days or less, so if we can continue to keep items coming in, that would be great.”
As the holiday season approaches, let us come together to spread warmth, hope, and kindness to those who need it the most in our community. Northern Kentucky residents are encouraged to contribute to this meaningful cause by participating in the drive on December 2nd, contributing winter items, or supporting the initiative in any way possible. Together, we can make a difference and bring joy to the hearts of those facing challenging circumstances during the winter months. For those who are not able to attend the event in person, an Amazon wishlist has been established here.
