Mason-based 16 Lots Brewing has officially opened its long-awaited second location in Newport on the Levee, the brewery announced on Facebook.
Dubbed the Southern Outpost, the brewery features amenities such as a riverfront patio and cigar speakeasy lounge.
The taproom and kitchen hosted its grand opening on May 19. They officially launched its full menu on May 23, including appetizers like ‘Nashville Popcorn Chicken’ and fried green tomatoes, plus entrees that range from burgers to mussels.
The location has a nautical theme and features a 2,000-square-foot outdoor patio, live music venue and a full-service restaurant.
In December of last year, 16 Lots President Mike Burton confirmed that Chris Mitchell would fill the role of brewmaster. Mitchell comes to the brewery after serving as the Head of Production at OTR Still House for the last five years.
The spot is open daily for lunch and dinner, and per a Facebook post, they plan to start a brunch service soon.
