Mason craft brewery 16 Lots which is opening a 16 Lots Southern Outpost at Newport on the Levee in spring 2023, announced its director of beverages and brewmaster.
16 Lots President Mike Burton confirmed that Chris Mitchell would fulfill the role. Mitchell comes to the brewery after serving as the Head of Production at OTR Still House for the last five years.
Southern Outpost also has also brought on Cincinnati chef Josh Campbell as their chief culinary officer. Campbell will be in charge of food and menu creation. A head chef has yet to be named.
As reported earlier this year, the new location will have a nautical theme and feature a 2,000-square-foot outdoor patio, live music venue, full-service restaurant, and cigar lounge.
The Southern Outpost will serve craft beer and cocktails, adult slushies, and gastropub food.
