Long-awaited Cuban restaurant Amador has officially opened its doors at Newport on the Levee.
The “casual fine dining” restaurant is the third concept from Pesola Hospitality Group, which includes Cincinnati-based Revolution Rotisserie and Milkman, per a release from the group.

The Miami-inspired spot, which was originally announced in the summer of 2021, serves up traditional Cuban dishes, including Cubano sandwiches, empanadas, croquetas and more. For drinks, Amador is offering craft cocktails, a variety of Latin American beer, wines as well as Cuban coffee for a little caffeine kick.
Featured in the 5,790 square feet of space is a “jungle-esque” style that offers indoor and outdoor seating plus a patio overlooking the Ohio River. The restaurant also has a “La Ventanita”, a walk-up window where they’re serving a limited grab-and-go menu.
“As Newport on the Levee continues its evolution into a true entertainment destination, we’re excited to add a brand-new spot to the mix where people can step inside and feel as though they’ve immediately been transported to a tropical vacation,” said Nick Pesola, owner of Pesola Hospitality Group in a release.
This opening comes a little over a week after it was announced that a 264-room, three-restaurant Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Resort is set to come to the Levee.
Amador will also be joining a lineup of various other businesses coming to the Levee, including 16 Lots Brewing Company, The Brickery Café and Play and The Galley on the Levee.
