A new bar and food operator opened to the public earlier this month in Covington, and it looks pretty (s)well.

On Dec. 8., The Well Covington and shipping container encapsulated restaurant Grub Local opened at 8 W. Seventh St. dishing out comfort food and classic cocktails.

Joining other restaurants and bars in area, proprietors Will Hodges and Chase Daoud have experience in the hospitality game. Hodges spent time as General Manager of Tin Roof Cincinnati, and Daoud worked as a district general manager with pizza chain LaRosa’s.

The bar has been decked out with multiple TVs, two floors of seating, and a laid back, friendly atmosphere.

“Honestly we’re two friends that wanted to create somewhere where people want to hang and have a good time,” Hodges said.
