I hope you had a chance to make out on Saturday and show our amazing independent children’s bookstore a little love. Â If you didn’t you still can, it just will not be as a part of a larger group of community members supporting a local treasure.
While the turnout didn’t appear to be overwhelming there was a steady stream of people through at least while I was there. Â The cash mob also brought the Blue Marble some extra media attention as both Channel 19 and WCPO were there to cover it. Â Follow the link on 19 to see the short story and a picture.
I hate to admit but it was also the first time I had been in the store and I have to say it was amazing. Â For anyone who has read the Goodnight Moon book they have a replica room upstairs that was very well done (pic above)
The store also has a great garden out back where they do author events such as the one on Saturday that included a butterfly show and tell. Â Pretty amazing stuff for a 33rd anniversary. Â If you are ever in the market for a great pre-school birthday present stop in and grab a few books – you won’t be disappointed.
