The Thomas More women’s basketball team will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III national tournament on Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 at the Conor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills.
The Saints (27-0) won the American Collegiate Athletic Association tournament on Sunday, but the conference title does not come with an automatic bid to the national tournament.
On Monday, the #1-ranked Saints learned that they received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament and will host the first two rounds.
#7-ranked Trine (25-2), champions of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, will play Emory (19-6), which finished third in the University Athletic Association and received an at-large bid. That game is first on Friday.
Also on Friday, Thomas More will play Saint Vincent (23-4). The Bearcats won the Presidents’ Athletic Conference championship and an automatic bid.
On Saturday, the winners of those two games will play each other.
