Edgewood City Clerk Belinda Nitschke was celebrated as the 2026 Municipal Clerk of the Year during a special presentation at Monday’s council meeting.
The honor, awarded by state officials, recognizes her exceptional dedication, professionalism and outstanding service to the Edgewood community.

“I’m sure everybody here already knows, but Belinda received the 2026 Municipal Clerk of the Year award. So, I just wanted to give you a citation from myself and from Speaker Osborne, congratulating you on your accomplishment,” said Dietz.
The award recognizes the important role city clerks play in local government, from managing public records to helping ensure transparency and efficient city operations. Nitschke’s recognition reflects her dedication to serving the community and the high level of service provided by the Edgewood administration. The city congratulates her on this well-deserved achievement.
