The state was just seconds away from seeing the set-up of an all-Northern Kentucky semifinal game in the KHSAA Boys Sweet 16, but a three-point shot with five seconds left put Oldham County up one, and knocked Campbell County out, 56-55.
Instead of an all-NKY semifinal, it will be a battle of Colonels.
Covington Catholic held off Fern Creek, 66-58, avenging a loss from earlier in the season and will play the Colonels of Oldham County on Saturday at 8 p.m.
The comeback Colonels do it again! A three-pointer from Travis Henderson with 1.9 seconds remaining gives Oldham County a 56-55 lead. The prayer from Campbell County is unanswered, and the Colonels are going to the final four! @OldhamEraSports pic.twitter.com/I9CNiW00DU
