First National Bank celebrated the grand opening of its first Northern Kentucky banking center on Thursday.
Located at 1717 Dixie Highway in Fort Wright, the facility signifies the bank’s growing presence in the region and will serve as part of First National’s new headquarters.
The new facility will offer a full range of banking services for both consumers and businesses.
“Although this is our first banking center in NKY, our roots as a community bank extend back more than 120 years,” said Jason Payne, president and CEO of First National Bank. “We are bringing that experience to the region while building a modern bank designed around the evolving needs of our clients. We want businesses and families to know there is a new bank in town, and we are here to serve them.”
The bank was founded as the First National Bank of Williamson in 1903. It has served primarily West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky for most of its history. Payne and a group of investors from Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati acquired the bank in 2025 with the aim of expanding its market footprint.
“This is much more than the opening of a new banking center,” Payne said. “It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for First National Bank and our commitment to Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. We see a tremendous need in this market for a locally based community bank that combines personal relationships and local decision-making with innovative financial solutions.
