Campbell County Judge/Executive Steve Pendery is seeking reelection in 2026.
According to a news release from Pendery’s campaign, during his time in office, Campbell County has seen billions of dollars in economic development, large gains in job creation and expansion of county services, all while the County spends less money per resident than any full-service government – city or county – in Northern Kentucky.
The release said that his leadership has positioned Campbell County to thrive in the years ahead by building its budget surplus, upgrading infrastructure, and forging strong relationships with businesses, Campbell’s cities, other NKY counties, and the Kentucky General Assembly.
“People are fed up with politics, and I don’t blame them,” Pendery said. “They want to keep more of what they earn, drive on safe roads, have access to parks and recreation, live in safe, thriving communities and otherwise be left alone. Those are the things I’ve always been focused on. I grew up in Campbell County, raised my family here and ran a successful family business. This will always be my home, and I’ll always fight to ensure Campbell County is a great place for families, with a strong economy and a high quality of life for generations to come.”
Pendery will face a primary opponent, Alexandria Mayor Andy Schabell, on May 19.
“Campbell County is well-positioned for success,” Pendery said. “I’m proud of the accomplishments we’ve made to make life in our county better for residents and businesses, and I’m looking forward to continuing this work for the next four years.”
